Jim Baksi founded and ran a 17-piece big band in Swarthmore, Pa. for years. He came to realize that you don't need 17-pieces to capture that big band sound, and also that a smaller band can be more flexible, and be a better fit for many venues.

So he took what he learned, invited the best musicians he knew, and formed The Mighty Little Big Band. The results have been phenomenal! The band plays the classics from the Big Band Era, along with 70's music like Chicago and Weather Report, and more recent pop hits. And don't miss vocalist Lorraine Barrett. Ms. Barrett has performed on Broadway, off Broadway, and with big bands and cabaret acts from New York to Cairo, Egypt.
